About The Tower
Nestled in the Heart of Northumberland, Bellshill Tower is a tranquil haven just beyond the coastline. Just a short journey from some of the area’s most spectacular attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and The Farne Islands, the Tower is situated perfecly. Whether you seek to explore all Northumberland has to offer, or simply wish to reconnect with nature in the surrounding woodland, Bellshill Tower has it all.
History
The Tower was originally constructed in the 1980’s by British Gas, intended to be used as a communications hub. However rapid technological growth rendered it surplus to requirement. Local farmers saw potential in the then unused building, and with the help of an architect, it took its shape into the unique property it is today.
A Message from the owners
Following many years of chasing a dream, we were lucky enough to stumble upon Bellshill Tower. Immediately struck by its unique character and breathtaking surroundings, we instantly fell in love. Fastforward to June 2024, we are now the proud owners of Bellshill Tower and are very much looking forward to this exciting chapter in our lives. We hope to share the beauty of Northumberland with you from Bellshill Tower as your home away from home.

“We had a wonderful week at the Tower, a stunning location surrounded by fields and woods, with wildlife a-plenty. We saw deers, hares, squirrels, pheasants, partridges, all manner of small birds and two large birds of prey. On two nights the sky was clear and we were treated to a spectaculatr star-fest, including several shooting stars and the Milky Way. Our son took his telescope and we saw the rings of Saturn and four of Jupiters moons… Amazing! Bellshill Tower is superbly equipped with everthing you could possibly need, the owners really have made it a home from home for their guests and you can tell the high level of effort they have put in to make sure guests have a comfortable stay. We definitely hope to return to the wonderful Bellshill Tower.”
